Michael A. Chiaradio Speaks at Clarke County and Winston County Democratic Party Meetings, Energizing Support Across the 3rd District

Louisville, Mississippi — Michael A. Chiaradio, Democratic candidate for Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District, continued his grassroots campaign momentum this week with appearances at two key local Democratic meetings in Clarke and Winston Counties.

On Monday, October 20, Chiaradio attended the Clarke County Democratic Party meeting in Quitman, where he is a member. After missing the previous meeting due to another speaking engagement, he gave members an update on his campaign’s progress and upcoming initiatives. Attendees expressed strong enthusiasm for his work and deep pride in seeing a local candidate gaining traction across the state.

The following evening, October 21, Chiaradio was the featured guest speaker at the Winston County Democratic Party meeting in Louisville. There, he delivered a powerful and policy-focused address that drew praise from local leaders and energized the audience.

Chiaradio spoke about his campaign’s central priorities — strengthening rural economies, supporting small farmers, expanding international trade opportunities, and investing in people through child care, food assistance, mortgage and rent support, and lower out-of-pocket healthcare costs.

He challenged the Republican narrative that helping working Americans must come at the cost of fiscal responsibility, explaining that smart, targeted spending can grow the economy without raising crushing taxes.

“More people in America need more help — and we can do these things without making our country uncompetitive,” Chiaradio said. “We need to think of the United States like a business, not a household. When we make productive investments, we drive growth, opportunity, and stability.”

Chiaradio also drew sharp contrasts with his opponent, Congressman Mindless Michael Guest, calling out Guest’s lack of economic understanding.

“Michael Guest doesn’t understand how our economy works,” Chiaradio told the crowd. “He’s a District Attorney, not an economic strategist. Most politicians today are not thinkers or builders — they’re fundraisers who repeat the talking points of the moment. And it’s hurting the very people who vote for them.”

The speech was met with strong applause and excitement from attendees, who shared Chiaradio’s belief that Mississippi is not a red state — it’s a low-turnout state, and that meaningful change is within reach if Democrats unite to mobilize voters.

“It’s a once-in-a-generation movement,” Chiaradio said. “But movements like this take many leaders. It’s going to take all of us.”

After the meeting, local Democrats expressed optimism and made plans with Chiaradio to coordinate voter registration efforts and expand outreach across the district ahead of the 2026 elections.
