Michael A. Chiaradio Becomes Democratic Nominee for Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District

SHUBUTA, MS — Following the close of the candidate qualification period on December 26, 2025, Michael A. Chiaradio has officially become the Democratic nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District.

With no primary challenger, the campaign can now shift into full general-election mode, focusing on voter registration, turnout, and building a broad coalition across the district.

The campaign is also nearing its end-of-year fundraising goal, a key benchmark that will determine early organizing, field operations, and voter outreach going into 2026.

“We are laying the groundwork now to make Mississippi a true swing state by 2028,” Chiaradio said. “It’s an honor to be part of the Mississippi Democratic Party, and I’m grateful for the support we’ve received from across the state.”
