Brandon, MS — Michael A. Chiaradio, Democratic candidate for Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District, continued his grassroots outreach this weekend with a visit to Brandon, Mississippi, where he delivered remarks to the Concerned Citizens of Rankin County.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Chiaradio outlined his vision for restoring sustainability and competitiveness to the American economy, while ensuring that working people and rural communities are not left behind.
Chiaradio emphasized that Mississippi’s rural economies represent some of the nation’s best high-growth opportunities, pointing to sectors like agriculture, home building, and energy transmission as key areas for targeted federal investment.
“If we’re trying to maximize GDP, rural economies are the best growth opportunities in America,” Chiaradio said. “That means investing, not just in infrastructure, but in our people—childcare, housing, healthcare, and fair wages. Republicans say people just want free things. That’s not true. Easier money conditions for working people are how you strengthen demand and build a stronger nation.”
The crowd responded enthusiastically, with several attendees expressing strong support for Chiaradio’s campaign and calling him the only candidate capable of mobilizing Democrats across the district and growing the party’s reach statewide.
“I’m working seven days a week,” Chiaradio said. “Mississippi is not a red state—it’s a low-turnout state. With the right strategy, we can flip this district and deliver the change our people deserve.”
Chiaradio’s campaign continues to build momentum across Mississippi, fueled by small-dollar donations and a growing coalition of Democrats and independents who believe in his pragmatic, people-powered approach.
