SHUBUTA, MS — With Election Day just one week away, Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio welcomed Alex D. Jackson Sr., host of the Worth The Listen podcast, to his farm in Clarke County for an interview on Monday.
Recorded outdoors on a beautiful Mississippi afternoon, with Chiaradio’s cattle grazing in the background, the conversation offered a different setting for voters to hear from the candidate.
The interview also drew several supporters who came out to the farm to show their encouragement and take part in the occasion.
Chiaradio expressed particular appreciation for Jackson’s approach to interviewing, which gives guests an opportunity to tell their stories without being rushed, interrupted, or overlooked.
For Chiaradio, that opportunity is especially valuable in a congressional race where Democratic candidates do not always receive the time or media attention necessary to explain their ideas.
Throughout his campaign, Chiaradio has developed detailed proposals addressing healthcare, infrastructure, public education, agriculture, and economic development.
He believes voters deserve opportunities to hear candidates explain not only what they support, but how they intend to accomplish it.
With the November 3rd election approaching, Chiaradio thanked Jackson for providing an independent platform for that kind of conversation, as well as the friends and supporters who joined them for the recording.
