Meridian, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio addressed Democrats from across Mississippi’s Third Congressional District Saturday morning during a district workshop hosted by the Lauderdale County Democratic Executive Committee.
The event drew a strong turnout of Democratic leaders, organizers, candidates, and supporters from communities across the district.
Dr. Deborah Williams delivered the keynote address, while Association of State Democratic Committees President Jane Kleeb and Precious McKesson also addressed attendees. Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Scott Colom delivered remarks focused on the importance of the upcoming election and the opportunity facing Mississippi Democrats.
Chiaradio followed Colom and spoke about what he believes is an important moment for the Democratic Party in Mississippi. He encouraged attendees to continue organizing in their communities and emphasized his belief that Democrats can compete and win when voters are given a reason to participate.
Chiaradio’s campaign continues traveling throughout the 23 counties of Mississippi’s Third Congressional District while building the organization and resources necessary to reach voters ahead of Election Day.
