Columbia, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio attended the Columbia Freedom Festival last weekend, joining residents, community leaders, and visitors from across the region for one of Marion County’s largest annual celebrations.
Throughout the afternoon, Chiaradio met with festival attendees at Candidate Row before delivering remarks from the Marquee Stage. He spoke about his campaign’s vision for Mississippi’s future and encouraged voters to look beyond partisan politics and focus on practical solutions that improve people’s daily lives.
During his remarks, Chiaradio discussed lowering healthcare costs, investing in infrastructure, strengthening public schools by increasing teacher pay, and building local food systems that help keep money and opportunity within Mississippi communities. He also emphasized his commitment to running a clean, positive campaign focused on bringing people together rather than attacking opponents.
Following his speech, Chiaradio reiterated his belief that Mississippi’s Third Congressional District is the most competitive congressional race in the state and that a strong grassroots effort can flip the district in November.
As the campaign continues building momentum across Mississippi’s Third Congressional District, Chiaradio remains committed to meeting voters where they are, listening to their concerns, and presenting a hopeful vision centered on service, opportunity, and strengthening Mississippi’s communities.
