Meridian, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio returned to the monthly meeting of the Lauderdale County Democratic Party last week after several weeks of campaigning across Mississippi’s Third Congressional District.
During the meeting, Chiaradio updated members on the campaign’s continued growth, recent travels throughout the district, and the positive response he has received from voters in communities across Mississippi. He expressed confidence in the campaign’s momentum and said he believes the race remains highly competitive heading into the 2026 election.
Chiaradio thanked members of the Lauderdale County Democratic Party for their continued dedication and support, noting that their consistent grassroots work has helped strengthen both the local party organization and the campaign’s outreach efforts.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to working alongside local Democratic leaders to continue growing the party beyond a single election cycle. Chiaradio said building a stronger Democratic Party in Mississippi requires long-term investment in local organizations, community relationships, and sustained voter engagement.
