Mendenhall, MS — Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio participated Friday in the Simpson County Bridge Builders Community Information Sharing Program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Simpson County Center in Mendenhall.
The event brought together community leaders, elected officials, candidates, and residents from across the region for a morning resource fair followed by a Meet the Candidates and Legislative Update panel discussion.
During the event, Chiaradio met with attendees and discussed the challenges and opportunities facing Mississippi communities. He outlined the core priorities of his campaign, including lowering healthcare costs, investing in infrastructure, strengthening public schools, and building local food systems centered around small businesses and small farms.
Chiaradio also emphasized the competitiveness of Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District and expressed optimism about the campaign’s prospects in November.
“We can win,” Chiaradio told attendees, pointing to growing grassroots energy and increasing engagement from voters across the district.
The afternoon panel featured Chiaradio alongside Theresa Kennedy, representing the Senate campaign of Scott Colom, as well as State Representative Zakiya Summers and State Representative Kabir Kareem, Chairman of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus.
Chiaradio described it as a privilege to share the stage with respected leaders who have dedicated themselves to public service and strengthening communities throughout Mississippi.
Chiaradio continues to travel throughout Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District, meeting voters and community leaders while building momentum for the 2026 election.
