Chiaradio Meets with Transportation Workers During Jackson Strike

Jackson, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio joined transportation workers in Jackson this week during their ongoing strike, where he met with local union leadership and spoke with employees about the challenges facing working people and public transit in Mississippi.

During the visit, Chiaradio met with the local union’s president and vice president and spent time speaking directly with workers about their experiences and concerns. The visit provided an opportunity to hear firsthand from employees and better understand the issues affecting their workplace and the communities they serve.

The meeting was part of the campaign’s ongoing commitment to engaging directly with workers, local leaders, and community organizations throughout Mississippi. Chiaradio believes effective public service begins with listening to the people most directly affected by public policy and understanding the perspectives of those on the ground.
