MCCOMB, MS — Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio joined the Pike County Democrats last week for a Meet the Candidates event in McComb.
Chiaradio participated in a panel alongside local candidates and officials seeking reelection and spoke with attendees about his campaign for Mississippi’s Third Congressional District.
During his remarks, Chiaradio discussed lowering healthcare costs, investing in infrastructure, funding public schools and increasing teacher pay, and expanding investment in small businesses and small farms.
Chiaradio also emphasized that he views the November election as bigger than any individual candidate or race and encouraged Mississippians to participate in the election.
The voter registration deadline for Mississippi’s November general election is October 5. Election Day is November 3.
If Democrats show up to vote, Chiaradio said, “we can win!”
