Chiaradio Attends Service at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Preston

Preston, MS — Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio attended a special service this weekend at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Preston honoring the public service legacy of Samson Jackson II.

Jackson was recently selected by the Mississippi Democratic Party to receive the William F. Winter Legendary Public Official Award for his outstanding service and lifelong commitment to his community. Although he was unable to attend the original ceremony in Jackson due to health concerns, the award was presented during the church service to his wife, Mrs. Jackson, and his son, Samson Jackson III.

Chiaradio described the service as a moving and emotional experience and said it was an honor to meet the Jackson family and be present for the presentation.

During the service, Chiaradio was also given the opportunity to speak to the congregation.

In his remarks, he spoke about the need to continue building the grassroots relationships and political infrastructure necessary to create lasting change in Mississippi.

The campaign continues to engage directly with communities across Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District as it builds momentum heading into the 2026 election cycle.
