Columbia, MS — Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio attended the First Annual Law Enforcement Unity & Prayer Day in Columbia this weekend, joining community members, faith leaders, and local officials for a day focused on prayer, fellowship, and support for law enforcement officers and their families.
The event was organized by Caymen Watts and brought together people from a variety of backgrounds to recognize the service and sacrifice of the men and women who help keep Mississippi communities safe.
Chiaradio said the event served as a reminder that Americans often have far more in common than political rhetoric would suggest.
He noted that despite differences in party affiliation or ideology, most people share common goals: safe communities, economic opportunity, strong families, and a brighter future for the next generation.
Chiaradio also expressed appreciation for Watts’ efforts to bring people together around shared values and community service.
Throughout his campaign, Chiaradio has emphasized the importance of community engagement, civic participation, and building relationships across political divides. He believes that meaningful progress is most often achieved when people come together to focus on common challenges and shared goals.
The campaign continues to engage with communities throughout Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District as it builds momentum heading into the 2026 election.
