Congressional candidate Michael A. Chiaradio this week participated in two events in Mississippi, highlighting his policy priorities and local organizing efforts.
On Tuesday, February 24, Chiaradio spoke at St. Catherine’s Village in Madison during a bipartisan community gathering. He focused his remarks on lowering the cost of healthcare and reducing cost-sharing and out-of-pocket expenses for Americans.
Chiaradio also outlined a broader economic vision centered on strengthening infrastructure, increasing teacher pay, and using targeted government spending to rebuild rural economies and boost exports. He emphasized his belief that Mississippi can become a national leader in economic growth and opportunity and stated that young people should not be forced to leave the state to find good jobs.
On Saturday, February 21, Chiaradio attended a meeting of the Lauderdale County Democratic Party at the county courthouse in Meridian. Joined by state party officials, attendees elected a new chairman and vice chairman and discussed plans to strengthen local organizing efforts and build momentum for upcoming elections.
Chiaradio reaffirmed his commitment to expanding economic opportunity, lowering costs for working families, and building a stronger future for communities across Mississippi.
