In a week marked by energy and momentum, Democratic candidate Michael A. Chiaradio continued building his campaign to unseat incumbent Michael Guest in Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District, delivering a series of impactful speeches and engaging with voters across the region.
On Tuesday, September 30, Chiaradio addressed the Lauderdale County Democratic Party’s monthly meeting in Meridian, where he delivered what attendees described as a “powerful and balanced” message. In his remarks, Chiaradio called for Congress to stand up to what he described as a “rogue, anti-establishment Trump Administration,” while also challenging the far-left elements within his own party.
“Even a broken clock can be right twice a day,” Chiaradio told the audience, explaining that while he disagrees with Republicans on many issues, they are right about keeping taxes competitive and protecting the nation’s supply chains.
He emphasized the need for Democrats to rebuild their reputation as the party that’s good for business.
On Thursday, October 2, Chiaradio joined Senate candidate Scott Colom, State Representative Zakiya Summers, and Rankin County Supervisor candidate Thelma Lorentz at the Democratic Unity Fundraiser in Flowood, hosted by the Rankin County Democratic Party.
His remarks focused on making Mississippi’s 3rd District politically and economically investable, while calling for Democrats to adopt a stronger, pro-business approach to win over voters and restore trust.

Then, on Friday, October 3, Chiaradio was invited back to Starkville to participate in the weekly protest held outside Congressman Michael Guest’s office, following the strong impression he made at last month’s Oktibbeha County Democratic Party Banquet.
Across these events, Chiaradio’s message has continued to resonate with both local Democrats and national grassroots supporters who view him as part of a new generation of pragmatic, common-sense leadership.
