Clarke County Democrats Draw Strong Turnout for Meeting with Church Leaders

Quitman, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio joined community members and local leaders Monday evening for the Clarke County Democratic Party’s Meeting with Church Leaders, which drew a strong turnout for an evening of discussion ahead of the November election.

U.S. Senate candidate Scott Colom served as the featured speaker, sharing his vision for Mississippi and answering questions from those in attendance.

Chiaradio also participated in the discussion and took questions from community members. During the event, both candidates were presented with certificates recognizing their candidacies.

The gathering marked the second recent Clarke County Democratic Party event to draw a strong turnout, adding to growing enthusiasm among local Democrats as the campaign enters the final months before Election Day.

As a Clarke County resident, Chiaradio expressed gratitude for the opportunity to welcome Colom to his home county and thanked the county party for its work organizing the event and creating an opportunity for candidates and community members to speak directly with one another.

Chiaradio continues traveling throughout Mississippi’s Third Congressional District as his campaign works to organize voters, increase turnout, and build the coalition necessary to flip the district in November.
