Biloxi, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio attended the 95th Annual Mississippi Municipal League Conference last week, joining local elected officials and community leaders from across the state to discuss the future of Mississippi’s cities and towns.
The conference brought together mayors, aldermen, council members, supervisors, business leaders, and public officials from throughout Mississippi to share ideas, build relationships, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing local communities.
Throughout the conference, Chiaradio met with local officials from across the state and discussed issues including infrastructure, economic development, workforce growth, and the importance of supporting Mississippi’s cities and small towns. He said the conversations reinforced his belief that many of the state’s best ideas and strongest leadership begin at the local level.
Chiaradio has consistently emphasized the importance of working closely with local governments and said that, if elected to Congress, he intends to maintain strong relationships with municipal leaders throughout Mississippi’s Third Congressional District. He noted that effective representation in Washington begins with listening to the people who serve their communities every day.
