MARION, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio attended the Marion Police Department Fish Fry last week at the invitation of Marion Police Chief Randall Davis, continuing to build relationships with community leaders and residents throughout Lauderdale County.
The event brought together local officials, law enforcement personnel, community leaders, and residents for a day of fellowship and community engagement. Chiaradio spent time meeting attendees, discussing issues facing Mississippi’s Third Congressional District, and listening to the concerns and ideas of community members.
Chief Davis welcomed Chiaradio to the event and introduced him to many of those in attendance. Chiaradio said he was humbled by the warm reception and encouraged by the enthusiasm shown for the campaign and its vision for the future.
Chiaradio said he was especially grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the officers, staff, and community leaders who work alongside Chief Davis. He noted that the values Davis brings to his leadership are reflected throughout the organization and among the people who support its mission.
Chiaradio said the more time he spends in Marion, the more respect he has for the culture of service, accountability, and community engagement that has been built there. He expressed gratitude for the friendships formed during the event and said he looks forward to continuing to work alongside the people of Marion in the years ahead.
