Shubuta, MS — Democratic nominee for Congress Michael A. Chiaradio announced today that he has earned the endorsement of State Representative Zakiya Summers.
Summers currently serves in the Mississippi House of Representatives and has become one of the leading voices for healthcare access, economic opportunity, education investment, voting rights, and equitable public policy in Mississippi. Through both her legislative work and community advocacy, Summers has built a reputation as a strong and consistent advocate for working families across the state.
Summers was also among the first elected leaders to encourage Chiaradio at the beginning of his political journey, offering early support as the campaign began organizing across Mississippi’s Third Congressional District.
Her endorsement comes as the Chiaradio campaign continues expanding its grassroots operation throughout the district with a focus on lowering healthcare costs, investing in infrastructure, strengthening public schools, and supporting local food systems and small businesses.
